This page covers both Yacht Week and Ski Week. The position is the same for each.
Not at the moment. We are handling this in writing, and we would rather say so plainly than take numbers and not ring back.
Why not
Two reasons, and the second is the more important one.
The volume of enquiries is high, and a queue for calls would mean people waiting days for something a written answer resolves the same day.
More importantly, we cannot safely discuss your personal data over the phone. We have no reliable way to confirm that the person calling is you. Given that this incident involved identity details, someone attempting to impersonate you is exactly the risk we have to guard against. Answering questions about your record by voice would make that easier, not harder.
Everything we can tell you, we can tell you in writing to the address we already hold for you. That is slower to feel reassuring and considerably safer.
What you can do without asking anyone
The two things most callers want are now in your own hands, from your profile page on the site you booked with.
See what we hold about you. Log in, open Edit profile, and the Go off radar button in the Danger zone panel opens a dialog listing what we hold, with a download of your data — without deleting anything. See How do I find out exactly what data you hold about me?
Delete your account and your data. The same dialog does that too, immediately, once you confirm. The article on deleting your account is in your brand's collection.
If you cannot log in, both remain available in writing — reply to your security notice or write to the notice address shown on it. Yacht Week and Ski Week each have their own.
If you were told we would call you
Our original security notice said you could ask for a call back. That was our intention when we wrote it and we have since concluded we cannot do it safely or at the volume required. If you asked for a call, we owe you an apology for the change and a written answer instead. You have not been forgotten.
A word about calls you did not arrange
Because we are not making outbound calls about this, any phone call claiming to be us about this incident is not us. If someone rings referencing the incident and asks for a password, card details, bank details or a payment, hang up and write to the notice address to check.
Whoever holds this data knows real details of your travel, which makes a cold call sound more convincing than it should.
