The newsfeed is the social feed inside the Yacht Week app — similar in feel to Instagram, but scoped to your specific route. You'll see posts from your fellow guests on the route and, closer to the event, from the Yacht Week team.
What's in your feed
The newsfeed only shows posts from people on your route. You won't see content from other Yacht Week events or destinations, and guests on other routes won't see yours. The point of keeping it route-scoped is so the feed reflects the people you'll actually be on the water with.
Who can post and when
From your access date, you and your fellow guests can post on the newsfeed and share photos. This is where most of the early social activity of the week tends to show up.
Yacht Week itself starts posting on the newsfeed six weeks before each event. If your access opens earlier than that, you'll only see posts from your fellow guests until the six-week mark — at which point updates from our team start appearing in the feed too.
How people use it
The newsfeed comes alive when guests start introducing themselves. Tell your fellow guests who you are, where you're flying in from, and what you're bringing to the week. If you're a yoga instructor, a run coach, a free diver, or anyone with a skill you'd happily share, post it — the people who'd love to join in will find you.
What you can post
Posts can include text, multiple images, or video. You can like comments, images, and videos in the feed, and the mention tool lets you tag specific guests in a post when you want it to reach them directly.
Notifications
New posts on the newsfeed trigger push notifications, so you'll see activity even when you're not in the app. If you'd rather not receive them, you can mute notifications for the app in your phone's settings.
