The most common reason guests can't access the app, or find it empty when they log in, is simply that it's too early. Here's what to expect based on your booking type:
Custom Yacht bookings — app access is available immediately after booking.
Full Yacht packages (Classic Monohull, Classic Catamaran, Premium Monohull, Premium Catamaran) — access is activated when a yacht is assigned to your booking, which typically happens between 2 and 6 weeks before your event.
Cabin bookings — access is activated when your cabin is assigned to a yacht, typically between 2 and 6 weeks before your event.
Once you have access, you can post in the news feed, share photos, message other guests, and view the general crew list. The newsfeed works similarly to Instagram — you and your fellow guests can start posting straight away. Yacht Week staff won't post any content until 6 weeks before your event, so if the app feels quiet early on, that's expected.
Starting 6 weeks out, the Yacht Week team will begin posting in the news feed. Your full schedule and itinerary will be published no later than 2 weeks before your event. At that point, Skippers and Hosts will also become visible in the crew list, and your crew group chat — including your Skipper and Host — will be created.
If you believe you should already have access and are still having trouble logging in, make sure you're using the same email address linked to your Yacht Week booking.
If that doesn't resolve it, try closing and restarting the app:
iOS — swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-click the Home button on older models) to open the App Switcher, then swipe the app's preview card upwards to close it.
Android — swipe up from the bottom and hold to view recent apps, then swipe the app upwards to close it. For a full reset, go to Settings > Apps and select Force Stop.
If the problem persists, contact our customer service team.
